Artur also mobilized to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy that hit the U.S. on October 28, 2011. In the two weeks following the tragedy, he was an active member of the Red Cross volunteer group, working mainly on the south coast of New Jersey, which was severely hit by the hurricane.

 

"The destruction in the places is much worse than what we see on television. It is very sad to see the eyes of the homeless, who lost everything, people with good financial conditions reduced to the basic human condition," he commented at the time.

Among the actions, 80,000 daily meals prepared in 4 kitchens located in different areas of the state were delivered, in addition to 7,000 beds available.
