My name is Artur Moreira. I was born inf 1976 in a small city in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Before comming to the United States of America, where I have now livign for some years. I had the opportunity to live two and a half years in the city of London in England, where I was charmed with the english architecture, among others that I also had the opportunity to know such as french, swiss, italian, german and many more than I will stop mentioning in order to not taking more space.

All those kind of wood finishing called me the attention and, as I always had manual habilities, I started to have a dream, somehow related to the art of working with wood. During the period I lived in london, one very thing caught my attention, the Globe Theater, and you should now be asking: what does it have the theater to do with manual work, wood and many other things?
But it has. I'm going to tell you a little about this beautiful Theater located in London, England, that way you will see that I am really sure about what I am speaking of.

The Globe Theater was built between the years of 1598 and 1599, for the siblings Richard and Culbert Burbage. Originally located in Shoredith, then moved to the north of London and afterwards transfered to the river Thames south margin close to SouthWark bridge and the London Tower, place where in the past popular entertainments as trained bears, roosters cock-fights , bulfights arenas and brothels, as well as noisy taverns, turned that London area into the more famous place of amusement of sixteenth century.

The change felt for the fact that the first place where the theater had been built was rented, and the owner of the land, excited with the success in the new busines, increased the rent of the land in such a way, that the company didn't have condition of affording the expenses, but however, the wood with which the theater had been built belonged the theatrical company, then in the winter of that year, after the increase of the rent, the company disassembled the theater piece by piece and transported it by boat to the south margin of the river Thames, and rebuild it the area where until today it is.

In that place was where one of the largest playwrights of the history came with their players still famous nowadays. His name was WILLIAN SHAKESPEARE. He premiered their players in this theater, dramas like Hamlet, Othelo, Macbeth, Shakespeare in love among others.
A curiosity that maybe noticed by few was that either in the first construction in the sisteenth century, as the last one in our days were not used nails nor screws, everething was made by fiting or using wood pins. Wonderful carpentry work, true work of art. The Globe Theater is the proof that after four hundred years later one can find people with such ability to redo everething as before it had been done. Who has the opportunity to go the London Capitol can verify what I am telling.
